Quality of Life Inc.’s volunteer program is an essential part of our team and helps support the mission and vision of our agency in various ways. We deeply appreciate each individual who gives us the gift of their time. Your donated service hours provide youth and their families in our community, the opportunity to discover their desired “Quality of Life”. Becoming a volunteer is truly a rewarding and fulfilling experience and one that we want you to thoroughly enjoy. Your energy, background, previous experiment, and desires for volunteering for this position makes you the perfect candidate for this opportunity.
Volunteer as a Mentor
Our youth programs connect volunteer mentors with youth mentees in their community. After
satisfactorily completing the screening process, mentors are matched with a mentee to
provide them one-on-one social and emotional support, life skills training, and empowerment.
Mentors commit to spending at least (4) hours a month for the duration of at least six (6)
months with their mentee. Mentors are provided with training and assistance all throughout
their service. QLI will create structured activities and outings opportunities, enable access to
community events, and locate additional resources for the mentee if needed.

Opportunities and Events
Back to School Drive
Our Back to School Drive provides underserved individuals and their families the opportunity to approach the school year with the necessary items required for a successful school year. Each year we collect over 200 backpacks and supplies and provide these resources to various Boys & Girls Clubs and local schools. Each bookbag contains notebooks, rulers, glue sticks, pens, pencils, crayons, folders, and more. We provided a bounce house, DJ, food, arts and crafts, free books, as well as mental health services provided by Quality of Life Counseling Center.

Coat Drive
The One Warm Coat drive launched in 2016 to address the needs of communities in crisis who are not able to afford coats. Our goal each year is to receive at least 300 new or gently used coats to help those in the community who can’t afford proper protection from cold winter weather. Warmth has many layers. Warmth means protection from the cold. Warmth means having access to a hot meal when you are hungry. Warmth
means respecting the dignity of others. Warmth means so much more than a coat.

Community Feedings
Feeding The Hungry initiative was born with the goal of changing lives both spiritually and physically, thereby improving an individual’s desired “quality of life”. This program not only provides physical food but also education on balanced diets and holistic healing to underserved communities in order to enhance their way of life and sustain a lifestyle of higher vibrations.

Scholarship Drive
The D. Vann Scholarship was launched to support youth pursing secondary education who otherwise would not have had the guidance and resources to gain invaluable life skills, pursue higher education, and embark
on a brighter future by obtaining financially successful careers. Many of our recipients are the first in their families to attend college, which is a key component to ending the cycle of poverty and becoming powerful contributors to their families and communities. Our goal is to provide $5,000.00 or more in scholarship funds each year.
